Treatment
We may use and disclose your PHI to provide, coordinate, or manage your mental health care. This includes communication among clinicians, staff, and authorized providers involved in your treatment.
Payment
We may use and disclose your PHI to obtain payment for services, including billing insurance, verifying benefits, and collecting payment.
Healthcare Operations
We may use and disclose your PHI for operational purposes such as quality improvement, training, licensing, compliance, audits, and administrative activities necessary to operate our programs.
Uses and Disclosures Without Your Authorization
We may disclose your PHI without your authorization in limited circumstances permitted or required by law, including:
Risk of harm: If necessary to prevent a serious and imminent threat to your health or safety or the safety of others
Abuse or neglect: Suspected abuse or neglect of a child, elder, or vulnerable adult
Legal requirements: Court orders, subpoenas, or other lawful processes
Public health activities: As required by law

Requests must be submitted in writing. We may deny certain requests as permitted by law.
Telehealth & Electronic Communications
Valor Ridge provides services through secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platforms. While we take reasonable steps to protect confidentiality, clients are responsible for maintaining privacy on their end by using secure devices and private locations.
Electronic communications may carry inherent risks. By participating in telehealth services, you acknowledge and accept these risks.
Group Therapy & Confidentiality
Some programs include group therapy. While clinicians uphold confidentiality, other group participants are not legally bound by HIPAA. Expectations regarding group confidentiality are reviewed during program orientation.
Our Responsibilities
Valor Ridge is required to:
Maintain the privacy of your PHI
Notify you following a breach of unsecured PHI as required by law
Follow the privacy practices described in this Notice
Changes to This Notice
We reserve the right to change this Notice at any time. Changes will apply to all PHI we maintain. The updated Notice will be available on our website and upon request.
