Virtual Intensive Outpatient
Virtual Intensive Outpatient Program for First Responders & Non–First Responders
The Virtual Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) at Valor Ridge is designed primarily for first responders, veterans and their partners who need a higher level of mental health support than traditional outpatient therapy, without requiring inpatient or residential treatment.
Our program recognizes the realities of first-responder life - cumulative trauma, high responsibility, shift work, and the expectation to remain functional under pressure - and provides structured, trauma-informed care through secure telehealth.
-
Virtual IOP is a structured level of mental health care for individuals who need more support than traditional outpatient therapy but do not require inpatient treatment.
-
Virtual IOP may be appropriate for first responders who are:
Experiencing PTSD or trauma-related symptoms
Struggling with anxiety, depression, or emotional overwhelm
Feeling burned out or depleted from chronic stress exposure
Not making sufficient progress in weekly outpatient therapy
Seeking care that understands service culture
Non-first responders may be admitted into select IOP groups when clinical needs, group fit, and therapeutic alignment are appropriate.
All admissions are determined through our clinical screening process.
-
Treatment plans are individualized, but the Virtual IOP typically includes:
Multiple, structured group therapy sessions per week
Individual therapeutic support
Trauma-informed, skills-based interventions
Care delivered via a secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform
This level of care allows clients to remain connected to their daily lives while receiving consistent, structured support.
